Gloria Kuhn is a tax practitioner in private practice, with more than 3 decades of experience in all areas of taxation at the federal level and many states. She has maintained a home office as she was coordinating work life with raising her nine children. Having prepared tax returns professionally for a number of years, Gloria achieved the status of Enrolled Agent by taking the 4-part IRS exam in 1987. Paying special attention to the needs and interests of clients, and employing high standards for her work and professional relationships, are strengths of developing a successful tax practice. Completing more than 30 hours per year in federal taxation continuing education, Gloria also taught a course entitled "Tax Implications in Real Estate" for several years at Orange-Ulster BOCES. Having background in personal tax issues, tax planning, taxpayer representation, business and estate tax returns, along with a high degree of integrity and attention to detail have been the cornerstone of her practice. In 2002, Gloria was fortunate to become a Registered Representative, offering investments to her clients. This afforded her the opportunity to engage in a more holistic experience with clients who chose not only tax preparation services but also investments through Gloria's practice. Investments that can be considered with the tax implications to clients and knowledge of the impacts of different transactions in each individual taxpayer's situation has provided a more comprehensive experience for clients in which they can benefit from advice not only from an investment standpoint but from tax planning purposes as well. Some clients have suggested that Gloria has a "boutique" practice that provides a personal and individual experience for each client. It is so important to her that clients feel confident in her tax knowledge and comfortable entrusting her with their investments; a responsibility that she takes very seriously. It's a tax and investment practice that she greatly enjoys, and takes great pride in having life-long relationships with clients; in some families, now three generations strong.
Having been a music major in earlier years, Gloria still enjoys the company of her adult children and all of their many talents and abilities, and has been known to sit down at the piano with a little persuasion. She enjoys travelling on occasion, also to sometimes visit adult children who are presently residing in many areas of the United States. Relaxing at home with her husband, Robert, in her favorite place, the beautiful Hudson Valley, is about her only other hobby; that being said, she does enjoy helping to put out proverbial fires and gets called upon for advice from her children, her clients, her friends, in many areas that impact on their day to day lives; always trying to help everyone figure out the next step! Which also, by the way, lends itself to the very personality trait that provide excellent services to clients.
